A Literature review for BUSY people
Why? TO KEEP UP WITH DRAMATIC NEW
DISCOVERIES--
FOUR RULES
:
- You cannot be late
(otherwise you miss it!)
- Presentor has only 7
minutes to present the paper and audience is free to leave after 7 min
- No AV material - max of
two figures to be handed out.
- Audience and speaker will
vote on whether the paper gets a chocolate (thumbs up!) or a banana -
we'd like people to be critical of the preprint. The audience is free to throw tomatoes at Kartik Sheth later that day if he doesn't show up.
PAYMENT Guidelines --
ALL SPEAKERS GET EITHER A FANTASTIC
HIGH QUALITY CHOCOLATE BAR (usually from Belgium) and a banana
In the case a speaker takes more than 2 hours to deliver the
paper, an
onion and some rotten tomatoes are tossed at the speaker.
The name of the pre-print club is derived
from the famous book "The First Three Minutes" by Steven Weinberg.
Steven Weinberg received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1979 for his
pioneering work on the unification of the weak and electromagnetic
forces in nature. For
