This page contains the list of Read1 sources missing from the PSC
that I've found through various hand-checks of bright sources.
It is hopefully very reliable, but is by no means complete.
The table of these sources is below;
where there is more than one line inside a table row cell,
it means that the sources in that cell probably belong together
but were not completely bandmerged for some reason
(see the "description" column in these cases).
Note also that I believe some of these sources should
replace certain PSC sources, as indicated in the "description" column.
Square brackets in the mag fields, like "[xxx]",
indicate the values are band-filled mags.
The "cc_true" field contains the "cc_flg" value
that I believe should actually be assigned to the source.
In the images below, the red x's in the image are
sources in the working DB point source table,
and the green circles are sources in the PSC.

883495041 is one component of a visual binary. The other component at the green circle, 883495102 (with a dup 883585851), is found in the PSC and marked 883495041 as a confusion artifact in DB_MAPCOR. |

This source is located inside a very dense cluster, and obviously has some magnitude problems (compare J and Ks bands). It was removed from the PSC as a missed Read1 glint but is probably a real source. I would not advocate adding this data to the high-reliability PSC, but included it here for the sake of completeness. |

These sources comprise the H and Ks band extractions of the NW component of this visual triple system; all of the nearby J band extractions have rd_flg = '900'. These sources were flagged as confusion artifacts in MAPCOR and thus were not bandmerged. These sources, plus the next two sets, should replace 217158378 in the PSC, found at the single green circle in the middle of the image, which is simply an unresolved extraction in the middle of this group. |

These sources comprise the J, H, and Ks band extractions of the mid-SE component of this visual triple system -- at the location with three red "x"s, not the single green circle. These sources were flagged as confusion artifacts in MAPCOR and thus were not bandmerged. These sources should also replace 217158378 in the PSC, found at the single green circle in the middle of the image, which is simply an unresolved extraction in the middle of this group.

These sources comprise the J, H, and Ks band extractions of the far-SE component of this visual triple system -- at the location with two red "x"s, and green circle. The J and H sources were flagged as confusion artifacts in MAPCOR and thus were not bandmerged, while the Ks source did go into the PSC and is listed in this table only for reference. These sources should also replace 217158378 in the PSC, found at the single green circle in the middle of the image, which is simply an unresolved extraction in the middle of this group.

This is a close visual binary; the PSC contains only the unresolved extraction (cntr 260188875) in the middle of the two components. These three extractions should make up the eastern star; the J and H extractions were marked as confusion artifacts in MAPCOR, and thus none were bandmerged. 260188857 was later marked in DB_MAPCOR as a confusion artifact from the middle extraction. This set of extractions and the set below should replace 260188875 in the PSC. |

These extractions should make up the western star of the same close visual binary as above. All of the nearby Ks sources have rd_flg = '??9'. These J and H extractions were also not bandmerged because they were marked as confusion artifacts in MAPCOR. This set of extractions and the set above should replace 260188875 in the PSC.

These sources comprise the H and Ks band extractions of the eastern component of this visual binary system, from three different scans of the same tile. All of the nearby J band extractions have rd_flg = '900'. The sources with cntr values beginning with "1099436xxx" are in the scan selected for the all-sky release. One of the Ks extractions, 1099436925, does appear in the PSC and is listed in this table only for reference; other extractions from the same scan are listed first in each band. |

These sources are near the center of this visual binary system, but they are the brightest extractions close to the western component (also from three scans of the same tile). There are no source extractions at the correct position of the star, so these are the best we can find. Those with cntr values beginning with "1099436xxx" are from the scan selected for the all-sky release. The first J and H source listed, 1099436940, does appear in the PSC and is listed in this table only for reference; the second extraction fills in the Ks band data but was marked as a confusion artifact by MAPCOR.

1244516050 is a possible close visual binary with 1244516073 at the center -- it looks like there may be another source on the 2mass images, but no information can be found in SIMBAD besides a single IRAS entry. The PSC contains 1244516073, which is slightly brighter than 1244516050 in J and Ks and caused DB_MAPCOR to mark 1244516050 as a confusion artifact. |

788625523, a bright source, is near the pole and has no entry in the PSC. There are, in fact, 9 extractions of this source, all right in the middle of the star and box, but none of them made it into the PSC. This source was chosen in dup resolution, but one of its dups mistakenly also made it into the list of Read1 sources to be added to the PSC. When that error was found, it looks like both sources were accidentally removed from the list. |
