icmpos.all -- unweighted mean positions for the IC objects, equinox B1950.0.
icnotes.all and icnotes.* -- notes on the IC objects, particularly those 
              missing, misidentified, or otherwise unusual.
icpos.all and icpos.* -- raw equinox B1950.0 positions for the IC objects.
imppos.all -- unweighted mean positions for the IC objects, precessed to 
              equinox J2000.0.
ngcmpos.all -- unweighted mean positions for the NGC objects, equinox B1950.0.
ngcnotes.all and ngcnotes.* -- notes on the NGC objects, particularly those 
              missing, misidentified, or otherwise unusual.
ngcpos.all and ngcpos.* -- raw equinox B1950.0 positions for the NGC objects.
ninotes.intro -- introduction to the Notes files.
nipos.intro -- introduction to the Positions files.
nmppos.all -- unweighted mean positions for the NGC objects, precessed to
              equinox J2000.0.

This current file layout carries a lot of historical baggage.  I
started the project on computers with small and slow RAM and hard 
drives, so working with short files was more efficient.  If you
want everything, and don't care how long the files are, just
download the *.all and *.intro files.  If you prefer to work with
shorter files, download the files with names ending in numbers.
You'll still want at least one set of the mean position files,
too, probably the J2000.0 set (imppos.all and nmppos.all).

All the files are 7-bit ASCII, by the way, with UNIX line-endings.
