I like this picture through barbed wires which are so much a part of Jo'burg and its landscape. The row of buildings in the back are the hostels -- these single sec dorm accomodations were Soweto and other townships legacy -- typically designed to house miners. Wives were not allowed to stay overnight and these are regarded as one of the awful memories from the apartheid eras.
