After giving Capetown another shot for interesting night life -- (we ate at this not so great Indian place on Long street) we stayed in Simonstown which was a really stunning area. There is a rail line going right along the beach and a nice flea market where we haggled with the vendors for curios. From Simonstown, the Cape National Park area is just a short drive away...
