I spent 19 days in China. I flew into Beijing, spent one day touring there, flew to theYunnan Province, into Lijiang via Kunming; and spent a week at a conference Lijaing. On one day of the conference we toured the nearby Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and the town of Shuhe. After the conference, with some of the conference attendees, I toured North to Zhangdian, returning to Lijiang, On my own I went Northeast to Lake Lugu on the Sichuan Border, then South to Old Dali City, Southeast to Kunming, and then across China to Suzhou (South of Shanghai) for a day and back home via Tokyo.  (The meaning of place names is discussed here)
