The mean scan dither pattern data has been accumulated from 105
survey and calibration scans from the night 970521 UT processed
using 2MAPPS v1.0. These data represent scan-averaged values for cross-scan
frame-to-frame step size (avxoff), the in-scan frame-to-frame
step size (avyoff, and the array rotation angles for each
survey band.
The table below lists the average and RMS of these values for
each of these parameters, calculated separately for north-going
and south-going scans. For a measure of the sigma-mean of each
quantity, divide the RMS by sqrt(N), where N is the number of
scans listed in the second column of the table. Note that the
sign change between scan directions is a product of the scan coordinate
system convention.
