The format of the Symposium will be ~15 minute contributed science talks by Greater IPAC staff, postdocs and students (IPAC, SSC, MSC), along with one or two special Invited Talks each day. The Symposium will be concluded with the "State of IPAC" presentation by Executive Director George Helou, followed by a catered reception in the Beckman Institute Hall Patio. All Greater IPAC staff are welcome and encouraged to attend. For those of you new to IPAC, the Science Symposium is a forum for all staff, postdocs and students of IPAC, the Spitzer Science Center and the Michelson Science Center to present, discuss and learn about the diverse research that is being carried out at the "Greater IPAC." Those new to IPAC, postdocs and students are especially encouraged to participate. This is a great way to "see and be seen." IPAC members who wish to make a contributed science presentation are asked to submit a talk title no later than Friday, September 15 to Roc Cutri (roc@ipac.caltech.edu). Email submission is preferred. If the topic of your presentation is not immediately apparent from the title, please provide a descriptive sentence for scheduling purposes. Abstracts are not necessary. There are a fixed number of slots available for contributed speakers, and they will be filled in order of title submission. So don't miss out - submit your title today! The atmosphere of the Symposium is intended to be fun and informal, and the location is designed to get us away from our offices and project work. Start shopping for your Hawaiian shirts now! For questions and title submissions, please contact Roc Cutri (roc@ipac.caltech.edu) or Bill Latter (latter@ipac.caltech.edu), GISS Co-chairs.
